Lights at Brooklyn Bridge entrance (above cozy-covered bike) - see below
After Washi's wonderful visits, I happened upon Joe Mangrum, on the Columbus Circle entrance of Central Park South, working into his 4th hour of this art.
He said he'd planned to be there for another two or three hours.
No, this design was NOT pre-thought out. "I make it as I go," Joe Mangrum said.
For your final projects within The Harlem Renaissance Unit, you MUST shoot, produce or otherwise capture Graffiti, Street Art or other artistic expression. My interview, with Mangrum, is having technical difficulties uploading, however, when it FINALLY does, you will have an example of capturing the "subject" or artist on video.
Click the above title to see more of Mangrum's 200+ pieces.
Not sure, but I believe this cozy-covered bike at Brooklyn-side entrance of the Brooklyn Bridge, was done by
Magda Sayeg aka Knitta Please.
